In May, I came into the Mini of Las Vegas to trade in my current car to get a new car. The employee by the name of Chris Uhles helped me. When talking to Chris, he informed me that no new cars were for sale but one car was in line for production. I was curious and wanted to see what it is. To my amazement, the car was almost exactly the model I wanted. There were a few things that I wanted to change & was told they would be changed with no issue since the car hasn't been made yet. For the changes, I asked for the wheels to be black instead of silver, as well as making sure the car had navigation because I need it for my job. They made those changes in front of me & confirmed them. I was very excited & confirmed my reservation for the car. Two months go by & I receive a call that the car has arrived at the dealership. I was so excited to get it. When I get there, I was surprised but not in a good way. The tires were still silver, the top exterior color ordered to be black & was shown on the initial papers, there was no ceiling rails on top of the car which was also shown on the initial papers, as well as the dash was not black which was shown on the initial papers. On top of that, there was a massive British flag decal on top of the car that I did not order nor want for my car. Once meeting with Chris, I immediately vocalized all of these issues for I was upset. He responded to me as if I was crazy & that I never asked for any changes. Amazed, I reminded him that he was the one that gave me the papers for me to change anything I would like & that they would be changed. * I TOOK A PICTURE OF THE PAPER HE GAVE ME, THAT PROVED THEY ORDERED MY CHANGES. * It was as if he forgot and that I was being the unreasonable one. He was extremely rude about it. I should've left as soon as I found out that was my car. He basically said that the car is there & that there is nothing he can do. He gave a very half-ass apology that I would almost be less hurt if he didn't give an attempt of an apology at the first place. When I told him about wanting to immediately take off the British flag decal, he tried talking me out of it because it is a "limited item" & that I should think it over. I did not care at all for his counter argument & was amazed he didn't give me a genuine apology because he really messed up. With me still partially wanting car, I told him I would take it. Throughout the process, I was very quiet & very irritated that I just wanted to get out of the dealership & away from Chris. I was with my girlfriend throughout this process & she was helping me calm down for I was very upset. Chris vocalized to my girlfriend, that me and him " were no longer friends " after I found out about the car not being what I ordered. My girlfriend was also there when I ordered the car, and he treated us like we were crazy, and that it never happened. He was very rude, super unprofessional, and a liar. Owning a Mini Cooper was my dream car, and now when I get into my car, it reminds me of that day I spent with Chris Uhles. No one should have to experience what I experienced. If they're only able to sell a certain amount of cars , due to COVID-19, they should not treat a real buying customer like this. I wish I never got the car. Then he has the AUDACITY, to call me twice, and left a voicemail saying to give him a good review. He got his review. *Update: After looking at the invoice again, I realized that I paid for all these items that never came in the car. I paid $1,000 for the navigation package, $250 for the roof rails, & $135 for the black all weather floor mats. At this rate, I wouldn't be surprised if the advanced sound system I paid extra for is the one in the actual car. This doesn't even feel like my car.
